Henri Matisse

I found Henri Matisse himself interesting even before I looked at his paintings because he started out as a law student and then became a famous painter. This was kind of a shocking transition in my opinion. After this I looked at his paintings and found his work very intriguing as well. I really love his use of vibrant color and his interpretation of a simple scene.
My thoughts on the article are good. I found this article very informative because I had never heard of the fauvism movement. I thought it was cool that this word stands for "wild beasts". I thought that this painting was a good representation of the movement because of its unrealistic feel and outstanding use of color and pattern.
