Edward Hopper

I chose the painting "Cape Cod Evening," by Edward Hopper because he is known for painting realistic paintings and I really liked how it feels realistic in a way but in a way also looks fake.  The house looks isolated with there being nothing around them, they are just in the middle of the woods.  I really like the colors he used for the woman's dress and the color of the dog, the colors really stand out.  Behind the trees, he made it dark to make it seem like they are actually isolated and there is absolutely nothing around them.
