Edward Hopper

The painting I picked by Edward Hopper is Rooms by the Sea, 1951. This painting really grabbed my eye because of the colors used and the lighting portrayed in the picture. This painting is the perfect example of solitude, loneliness, and isolation based on the image and the feeling it gives off. Because there is no one in the picture you really get the sense of solitude, loneliness, and isolation. However, the lighting in the picture adds a positive effect to it.
