The color scheme of this painting is what really got my
attention. I really like the color choice and how Henri Mattisse chose to blend
the various colors together. The application of the paint and the brushwork
really makes this painting unique. The way he made the brushstrokes allow portions
of the white canvas to come through. I really like how he did this and its
something I usually don’t see often on most paintings.
