TED Talk

I thought that Genevieve von Petzinger’s TED talk we watched in class was very interesting. Studying some of the oldest art in the world is compelling, and I thought it was fascinating how she is interested in understanding the meaning behind the geometric signs found at many sights all over the world. The origins of symbolism and graphic communication dates way back, so to be able to get a better understand on human cognitive evolution and these patterns would be awesome.

The reason I chose this painting by Jean Michel Basquait is because it really stood out to me. I feel like it relates to the TED talk in regards to the animal paintings that have been discovered across some sights.
