The Death of the Virgin
Michelangelo was a very talented artist. After watching the video on him, it shed some light on his techniques for painting. I find it really fascinating that he free hand paint his artwork. In this painting specifically you see the bareness of the room their in. There is no extravagant detail on the wall. I find it ironic that the virgin is wearing red because normally they are depicted as pure and holy wearing white.
