Introduction to Painting

The "Swans Reflecting Elephants" is one of my favorite paintings be Salvador Dali not just for its beauty but because history to it as well.  It was one of the paintings stolen by the Nazi during WWII. Painted in 1937, Dali displays beauty through the swans.  Looking closer you can see the elephants in the lake. I like how Dali uses lakes to reflect the image off the lake to make it look like doubles.  This is an oil on canvas.  This reminds me of when fall is just ending.  He uses a vast variety of colors in this painting.
