After doing research about Paul Gauguin, I have learned that
he is a French artist who lead a new style of painting referred to as
Symbolism. While reviewing his work, the painting that I found very interesting
was the self-portrait Les Miserables. The face and hair in this painting contains
a lot of detail. His eyes as well as the bags under his eyes really caught my
attention. Just looking at this picture you can feel the tiredness and emotion he
portrayed.
