While doing research on Paul Gauguin, I have learned that he
was a French post-Impressionist artist. Gauguin’s work was underappreciated
until after his death. A piece that Gauguin created that really caught my eye
was a self-portrait from 1893. I really love the expression and emotion
portrayed in this piece. I also love the color choice he selected while
creating this painting.
