Paul Gauguin

This is called Miraculous Source by Paul Gauguin. I chose this painting due to the vivid and wild colors he chose to use, which went against impressionism. I like how he was able to add colors that were not supposed to be there and yet still make the painting hold a realistic value. I also think the contrast of colors really bring out the beauty in this painting, with the reds and light yellow/orange sky against the mountains and trees.
