Michelangelo Caravaggio

I was very interested in Caravaggio's work because of his use in light and dark throughout his paintings. In this painting I thought it was very different because in most of his famous works he stresses the looks of humans to look sick or death like. He also did this with his fruit or flowers. This painting is an exception. The person in the painting looks very lively and the flowers in the back look very bright and live-like. This painting might represent a good time in his life.
