I chose this version of Judith Beheading Holofernes
painting because I like the contrast in it. I found it interesting how the main focus of the painting is the beheading because that wasn't the first thing I looked at. Immediately I noticed the facial expression in Judith face. Judith had a concerned look in her face yet she is still going through with beheading Holofernes. I find the reason I focused on her face first is because there is more light being directed towards her face. Holofernes face has more darkness which is why I looked at the beheading scene second.
