I decided to choose Michelangelo Caravaggio's style of painting for my individual project. When we were first introduced with Caravaggio's work I was fascinated how he was able to capture the light and the dark within his paintings. I thought it would be interesting to take something that I eat almost everyday and play around with the lighting to do the same. Even if I do not do this exact object in my independent project I know that I would like incorporate Caravaggio's style in whatever object I do choose. I think that painting this type of style (chiaroscuro) would be a great learning experience and very new and exciting to try.
