Henri Matisse

I chose this painting by Henri Martisse in particular because his interpretation of a woman is quite different. He painted this women in a cartoon style , but that's what so unique about it. Although he painted the women as a cartoon you can still see the women as if it were a real person.  He does a good job with skin tone, not in this painting in particular because he made it more basic compared to other paintings. In his other painting you see use him use more detail with skin tone and it makes the painting stand out in comparison to his other paintings. He does a great job with details in his paintings, in this painting in particular you can see the details on the blouse that the women is wearing and it allows the painting to have life with just the details alone.
