Paul Gauguin

Paul Gauguin was an impressionist artist whose work was unappreciated until after his death.  He is now recognized for his experimental use of color and style that were distinctly different from Impressionism.  The painting I chose by Gauguin is "Landscape with peacocks."  The reason I chose this painting was because I really like the colors and how it almost looks realistic in a way.  The colors are really bright, making it one of my favorite paintings of his.
